Lessons to be learned

Thankfully not directed at me. However, I thought this was all good advice that any test project manager (current role) like myself should take on-board.

Lessons that need to be learnt:

·         Don’t make Assumptions

·         Don’t make your delivery dependent on others (whenever possible)

·         Don’t assume other people will deliver to you on time

·         Don’t reduce your timelines until you have received 100% of the working deliverables promised

·         Do review the details of Daily progress reports (there is a huge difference between automated test cases developed and automated test cases tested)

·         Do seek guidance before making decisions to cut timelines

Mark.
